While their folks were away...

I tried to catch Declan's cute, cute smile. He smiles very easily when I first talk to him after being away for a few minutes. But by the time I got my nifty little camera, the smiles just weren't spontaneous any more. He is a sweet, sweet little boy... And very resilient to"endure" the constant smothering kisses of his cute older sisters...

Life is good...

I had a wonderful chat with the Von Grinner last night!
Additionally, it was a great week with the dad of the family home.
Yesterday we had a wonderful Memorial Day - fishing, rock climbing, garden planting etc. topped off with tinfoil dinners, watermelon, and s'mores.
Oh! And Rudy and Marty installed a light switch in the laundry room! We have pulled a chain there for 28 years... (Keaton STILL pulled the chain to turn the light off last night...)
THANKS to Rudy for doing SO MUCH this week to clean out sheds etc. and to whip the yard into better shape. Trimmed trees and bushes etc... :)
Here are some photos - starting with the new table we got on my birthday after playing with the pirates. (Notice the dog house moved over to make room for a hammock between the apple trees - one of Rudy's finds in the carport shed.)
Also some photos of "Closing Night" at Canary Garden, the Grief Support group that I've volunteered with since April of last year. The group picture is part of my pre-teen group. My co-facilitators were the man in that group picture, and also the wife of the bagpipe player, (who is a group facilitator of a younger group. I was teamed with him last year). All of the families write messages to their loved one and attach them to balloons. As the bagpiper plays, the balloons are all released... Very cool.
